I’ve never been to New York
Nor sailed the Seven Seas
Haven’t been to Moscow,
But have seen the Pyrenees
When you travel on your adventures
I gladly tag along
Enjoying all your photographs
From Sweden to Hong Kong
Canada, Alaska,
Zimbabwe and the rest
Have been to Czech Republic
Not so Budapest
Have sailed upon the Nile
Explored islands owned by Greece
Istanbul, Morocco,
The seaside town of Nice
Have driven around Australia
The Nullabor and outback
Sunsets are spectacular
When off the beaten track
I’ve skied some foreign slopes
Got caught in weather storms
Had some luggage stolen
Filled in many forms
Have crossed the English Channel
Explored the Torres Sraits
Followed the mighty Murray
The Danube and other greats
Not been to Indonesia
Although it’s on the list
Never have seen the Yangtze
Or gorillas in the mist
Throw your coin to Trevi Fountain
And wish upon a star
When you’ve travelled
It’s forever
Those same places never far….
Where do you want to go…….

Lovely poem! It sounds like you have had a lot of experience trotting the globe. It’s one of those dreams of nearly every person, and I hope to someday relate to your adventures through personal experience. The sad thing is when you want to visit a place, but it’s super sketchy, like Israel or Syria. I’m not too keen on the idea of getting bombed while on vacation.

Hi Jason, luckily there are plenty of peaceful countries out there too!
It definitely pays to be vigilant, and check advice before travelling. Have a look at this post for advice: Traveling Safety Tips
